Deepika Padukone is having the golden run of her life both professionally and personally. With Padmavaat, the actress became one of the most successful actresses and most bankable actress in recent time.

The actress went on to marry her long-term boyfriend actor Ranveer Singh in a private ceremony in Italy and had a reception in both Bengaluru and Mumbai. To add more to her plate, Deepika Padukone has been appointed as the new chairperson of the MAMI Film Festival after replacing Kiran Rao who has chaired the academy for four years.

Kiran reveals that she is looking forward to supporting Deepika on her new journey. “It has been my privilege and pleasure to work as part of the core team of MAMI, and after four years as Chairperson of the Academy, I am delighted to welcome one of India’s most loved film stars, Deepika as the new Chairperson.”

On the work front, the diva will begin shooting for her next film, Chhapaak this March along with Vikrant Massey. Teaming up with Meghna Gulzar, DeePee will also turn producer with this project.
